Indian telecom infrastructure provider Indus Towers has installed 180 towers in Prayagraj to improve connectivity during the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. The company has partnered with the Uttar Pradesh state government and district administration to ensure seamless connectivity for all devotees and residents of Prayagraj during the fair. Indus Towers gave this information in a statement on Tuesday. Of these, 110 are permanent towers, which will provide long-term connectivity in Prayagraj city. Additionally, 70 Cell on Wheels (CoW) towers have been installed at strategic locations in the Maha Kumbh Mela area. Indus Towers said that this entire project has been completed by the end of December 2024, which will ensure strong and reliable network coverage.

Speaking to a website, Tejinder Kalra, Chief Operating Officer, Indus Towers, said, “As we prepare for the Maha Kumbh Mela, we understand the importance of seamless connectivity for millions of devotees. “Our partnership with the fair administration and Prayagraj district administration has enabled us to boost the city’s telecom infrastructure and enhance the digital experience for devotees, enabling them to navigate through Prayagraj seamlessly.”
Indus Towers emphasized that this digital infrastructure will not only ensure communication during the fair, but will also strengthen the network infrastructure of Prayagraj in the long run.
