According to a press release from teh head of government’s department, the steering committee responsible for the “Morocco Offer” for green hydrogen, meeting Thursday under the chairmanship of the head of government, Aziz Akhannouch, examined the methodology that will be adopted for the evaluation and selection of projects through a rigorous definition of criteria.
These project requests demonstrate the keen interest and effective interaction of national investors and large international operators in the energy field for the “Morocco Offer”, considered to be competitive, integrated, transparent and practical, the press release indicates.
In this context,the State had undertaken,in accordance with the High Royal Directives,to define notable public land of around 1 million hectares,with a view to encouraging and supporting project leaders and developing this promising sector. , while ensuring within a contractual framework to guarantee the preservation and proper use of this public land base.
“In accordance with the High Royal Directives, the committee examined the progress of the implementation of the various projects relating to the operationalization of the Morocco Offer, for green hydrogen,” continues the press release.
This meeting takes place in application of the High Directives of HM King Mohammed VI, “calling for the rapid and qualitative implementation of this offer, so as to enhance the assets available to our country in this area and to respond as best as possible to the projects driven by global investors in this promising sector.”
