Qatar Tourism President Saad Bin Ali Al Kharji said that the Gulf countries are in the final stages of implementing a unified tourist visa. The unified visa will be implemented by the end of this year. In this regard, the discussions and preparations between the Gulf countries are in the final stage. Good responses are being received from all sides, he said.

Once the unified tourist visa is introduced, residents and tourists will be able to visit all Gulf countries with a single visa. The interior ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries approved the unified visa at the fortieth meeting held in Muscat last year.

The main objective of the project is to attract more tourists and facilitate them to spend more time in the Gulf countries. It is estimated that this will strengthen the economy.

Saad bin Ali Al Kharji stated that the Qatar Tourism Department has been tasked to submit a trial proposal before the official implementation of the project.
