Gulf Media ‘Onotsava’ will begin tomorrow at Sharjah Sapphire Market. Registration for the event will begin on Saturday at 1 p.m.
The main competition of the first day is the couples contest to find the matching couples. The winners of this competition will qualify for the final on Sunday. The preliminary round of the stew competition will also be held on the first day. This competition will provide a platform to see and taste the different flavors of stews like Semiya Payasam, Date Fruit Stew, Chavvari Stew, Carrot Stew, Fruit-Nut Stew, Fruit-Milk Stew, Sugar Free Stew, Ghee Stew, Wheat Stew, Milk Stew.
The winners of this can also compete in Sunday’s final. Another attraction is the children’s drawing competition. Around 500 children will participate in this competition. Tug-of-war where eight of the strongest teams in the UAE compete, family cooking where family members’ cooking skills are brought out, and a flower field competition are also held as part of the Onotsavam.
