Dubai: Two expatriates have been sentenced to 10 years in prison for killing a shopkeeper and stealing 158 phones and cash from a mobile shop. The incident took place in the UAE. In addition to the mobile phone, the defendants stole 21,000 dirhams and $ 1,000 from the store.

According to police documents, the driver of the mobile shop owner’s plotted to commit the theft. He implemented the project with the help of two others. The attack took place while the shop owner was inside the shop. The owner was tied up and taped to his mouth to prevent noise. But died of suffocation.

Both the accused had left the country even before the murder information was leaked. The second accused left the country after handing over the stolen items to his cousin. He also demanded that the money from the sale of the phones be transferred to him. The police investigation also found that the third and fourth accused had buried the stolen items in the desert.

The court also ordered the two expatriates to be deported from the UAE after serving 10 years in prison. The court handed down the sentence in the absence of both Asians. The other two suspects involved in the crime were arrested in the UAE. They were sentenced to five years in prison.
