LONDON: British royal Prince Harry’s autobiography ‘Spare’ has set a sales record, selling 1.4 lakh copies of the English-language edition of the book on its first day, according to publisher Penguin Random House.

Penguin Random House Spare is the first book in the non-fiction genre to sell so much on its first day of publication. The English version of the book hit the market on Tuesday. Spare is published in 16 languages ​​worldwide. A digital version of Spare is also available in the US, Canada and the UK.

An audio version of the book with Harry’s voice was released by Penguin Random House Audio. 2 million copies of Spare were printed in the first run in the US. More copies will be released due to high demand.

The Spanish version of the spare was already out. In this book, Harry, the youngest son of King Charles III and his first wife Diana, makes many explosive revelations about the discrimination he and his wife Meghan faced from the royal family, disputes with his brother Prince William, the death of his mother Diana, and the villainous behavior of Charles’ second wife Camilla.
