Hasan Salihamidžić in the stands during the game against Barcelona

There’s a lot of excitement on the pitch during FC Bayern‘s game against FC Barcelona. The spectacle is seen from the stands by someone who is apparently still close to the club.

Surprising guest at Bayern’s Champions League away game in Barcelona: Hasan Salihamidžić watched Munich’s third game of this premier class season live in the stadium. Before kick-off, the Bosnian posted a picture on his Instagram story that showed him in the stands of the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona.

Salihamidžić was under contract as a professional in Munich between 1998 and 2007 and celebrated a total of six championship titles, four cup victories and one success in the Champions League. In 2017 he became sports director at his favorite club, and in 2019 he became sports director. In May 2023, Bayern parted ways with Salihamidžić. Since then things have been quiet around him.

So now another sign of life from “Brazzo”, as Salihamidžić is called. However, the 47-year-old did not watch the game on Wednesday evening in Catalonia alone. At his side: another former Bayern employee. Marco Neppe can also be seen in the photo on Instagram. He was technical director in Munich until spring 2024. According to reports, Neppe is now active in Canada, working as an external consultant for the MLS club Toronto FC (read more about this here).

The two officials were not a lucky charm for their former club. FC Bayern went down in Barcelona and deservedly lost 4-1 in a spectacular game.
