BOLZANO. On Thursday evening, the Carabinieri of the Sarentino station reported a citizen for failure to keep weapons and illegal possession of ammunition.
The investigation started from a report from a local game warden who, during checks in one of the jurisdiction’s woods, found a hunting rifle abandoned in the bushes. Immediate investigations into the origin of the weapon allowed the police to identify the owner who, taken by surprise, on the occasion of the unexpected visit of the patrol operating at his home, showed only two (a rifle and a carbine) of the three weapons regularly purchased and reported.
Furthermore, an in-depth search of that house allowed the military to find a lot 340 hunting shells caliber 5.6 x50 Remington kept in a walled safewhose detention was not reported, constituting the violation of “illegal possession of ammunition”.
The law was issued against the illegal hunter who abandoned one of his rifles, which was fortunately found precautionary withdrawal of all weapons and ammunition in possession, as well as the firearms licence.
