A peculiar incident arose during Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, when a man, identified as Iván Mariotti, a 44-year-old Uber driver, was arrested for impersonating a security guard.
This man, originally from Key Biscayne, attempted to infiltrate the event wearing a uniform and a badge, managing to approach the restricted area of the concert before being detected by security officers.
The events were revealed around 8:30 pm last Friday, when security personnel notified Miami police about the suspicious presence of an individual dressed inappropriately for the event.
When questioned, Mariotti claimed to have been hired by a group of women to work as a security guard, claiming to have escorted them to their seats, although he lacked a ticket to the concert. This story quickly fell apart when police began to investigate further.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the women involved had not hired a guard, but had simply requested an Uber driver.
One of them expressed confusion about the badge Mariotti was wearing, since her aunt had only mentioned a transportation service.
As authorities probed further, Mariotti changed his statement, insisting that he worked for several security companies, which only complicated his situation.

Finally, Miami officers detained Mariotti, who, an Italian national, was in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
They set bail at $1,500 and an immigration hold, signaling the seriousness of their actions in such a high-profile event.
