Tottenham wins 3-0 against fifth division Tamworth
Son Heung-min (33), a striker for Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League (EPL), received a rating of 6 from local British media.
Tottenham won 3-0 after extra time in the 2024-25 FA Cup third round away game against Tamworth, a 5th division team, held at the Durham Ground on the 12th (Korean time).
On this day, Tottenham put some of their key players into the starting lineup, but struggled for 90 minutes in both halves against semi-professional team Tamworth.
In the end, Tottenham went into extra time and even brought in Son Heung-min to boost the game. Son Heung-min only played 30 minutes in the first and second halves of extra time, but he completely changed the flow of the game.
Son Heung-min received a free kick by crossing 30 meters in the 6th minute of extra time, leading to an own goal. Then, in the second half of extra time, he assisted Dejan Klusevski’s additional goal, recording his 7th assist of the season. It was a pure performance, playing 30 minutes and being involved in two of the three goals.
The British media ‘London Evening Standard’ gave a rating of 6 points, saying, “Son Heung-min showed a shining performance even though he only played in overtime.”
Four players, including Kulusevski, who scored the second goal, received a rating of 7, and Son Heung-min’s rating was the next highest.
‘WhoScored.com’, a website specializing in soccer statistics, also gave the team a respectable rating of 7.25 points.
Meanwhile, Tottenham’s other Korean player Yang Min-hyuk (19) was expected to make his European debut, but was not included in the entry.
