Travel restrictions have been imposed as the new Govt mutation Omicron spreads to more countries. Many countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, the European Union, Iran, Japan, Thailand and the United States, have imposed restrictions on travel to various South African countries. This is contrary to the advice of the World Health Organization.
It is noteworthy that the World Health Organization has warned against imposing any excessive restrictions (Travel Ban) before fully examining the variations.
A few days after its identification in South Africa, a variant of the New Coronavirus variant, named Omicron, was discovered in several European countries. As a result, governments around the world have begun to impose travel restrictions.
Two cases were reported in London, and the UK on Saturday tightened rules on wearing a helmet and screening international travelers. New cases were confirmed in Germany and Italy on Saturday, raising fears that a new strain of the corona virus could be found among travelers to Belgium, Israel and Hong Kong.

In the United States, Dr. Anthony Fossie, the government’s top epidemiologist, expressed concern that the Omigran variant was already in the United States.
Concerns are growing around the world that this new variant of corona will affect those who have been vaccinated, and that the epidemic and associated lockdown controls will last longer than expected.
Nearly two years after the start of the Coronavirus Pandamic, which has killed more than five million people worldwide, nations are on high alert.
Various countries have imposed travel restrictions on flights from South Africa to avoid any danger, as it will take more time to predict whether the Omigron variant will be more contagious than the delta mutation of the currently dominant corona.
