The⁢ Ambassador, Director General of the Moroccan Agency​ for International Cooperation (AMCI), Mohamed Methqal underlined the importance of organizing this forum in the region of Dakhla-Oued ‌Eddahab which will‍ contribute to the strengthening of South-South partnerships. , the development of investment and trade between African countries, the‍ acceleration​ of regional economic integration and ⁤the promotion of this region and its multiple potentialities.

Thanks to the vision ​initiated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI,⁤ advocating united and active south-south cooperation, a real national dynamic has been in place for more ⁣than twenty years, involving both the public and private sectors. ‍, civil society and all the country’s active forces⁤ to contribute to the emergence of a new and ‌strong⁣ Africa, he said.

The Director General of AMCI noted that the Kingdom ​of Morocco and the Republic of Chad share ‍a total convergence of views thanks to the ties of fraternity and cooperation which⁣ unite them, specifying that the excellence of bilateral political relations is backed by lasting economic ties and rich and multifaceted cooperation, as evidenced by the multitude of‌ cooperation agreements⁢ signed between the two countries in different areas of common interest.

“If our relationship is indeed old, it is constantly strengthening and our ⁢cooperation⁤ is constantly increasing,” he continued, welcoming Chad’s “constant, clear and unambiguous” position on⁤ the Moroccan nature of the Sahara.

In this‌ context, he welcomed the decision taken by the Republic of Chad to soon ⁢open a consulate⁢ general in⁤ Dakhla.

For his part, the president of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, El Khattat Yanja stressed that this ‌economic forum, in which important African economic players participated, constitutes an opportunity to present the potential of​ the region as ⁤a gateway to entry of the Kingdom to the countries of the continent and a real gateway to strengthen relations between Morocco and its African depth.

He added that this‌ event denotes‍ the particular interest given to this region in particular ‍and the Kingdom of Morocco in ‍general, to integrated, inclusive and sustainable economic development in its broader dimensions and based on‍ South-South and North-South cooperation.
