Architect Helga María Rivas Ardila has been officially appointed as the new Manager of the Adaptation Fund. This decision, made by President Gustavo Petro Urrego, ratifies his commitment to protecting the environment and adapting to the challenges of climate change.

The possession of Rivas Ardila was carried out by the Vice Minister of Finance, Diego Guevara Castañeda, through Decree 0466 of April 11, 2024. This act marks a milestone in the direction of the Adaptation Fund, consolidating the leadership of Helga María in the entity, where he had been performing interim duties since the beginning of the year.

President Petro, in his speech during the Government with the People in San Marcos, Sucre, announced the permanence of Rivas Ardila as manager, underscoring his commitment to the cause and his ability to lead the Fund in the desired direction. This commitment is reflected in the reorientation of the Adaptation Fund’s mission, which now focuses on comprehensively addressing the challenges of adaptation to climate change, as announced during the presidential intervention last March.
