Hyderabad: Two people, including a Tamil Nadu female pilot, have been killed in a helicopter crash in Telangana.
A training helicopter collided head-on with a power pole at Ramannagudam Thanda in Bethavura zone in Nalkonda district. A female trainee pilot was killed along with the pilot in the crash.
Smoke billows from the fire at the scene of the accident. Police and firefighters rushed to the scene after receiving information about the accident. Revenue officials and a medical team arrived at the scene to investigate. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
Air Force officials were notified of the crash of the training helicopter. Local farmers and workers said they heard loud noises when the helicopter crashed.
