HM the King propelled Morocco to the rank of developed nations (Head of the Arab Parliament)

Cairo – Since His accession to the Throne, HM King Mohammed VI, thanks to an all-out dynamic of reform, has propelled Morocco to the rank of developed nations, said the President of the Arab Parliament, Adel Bin Abdul Rahman Al-Assoumi.

“His Majesty the King works tirelessly to satisfy the aspirations of His people for a dignified life, through a vision which has propelled Morocco to the rank of developed nations,” indicated Mr. Al-Assoumi in a statement to MAP at the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the enthronement of His Majesty the King.

Morocco has made, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, great progress in various areas, he added, welcoming in particular the economic and institutional reforms initiated under the leadership of the Sovereign in favor of promotion of public freedoms and women’s rights.

The President of the Arab Parliament also highlighted the levels of growth achieved over the last 25 years, as well as the resilience shown by the Moroccan economy.

In terms of human rights, he affirmed that Morocco has made historic progress, crowned by the election of the Kingdom to the presidency of the UN Human Rights Council for the year 2024.

This consecration, he noted, is “the culmination of the wise policy pursued by Morocco in this area, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, with a view to consolidating human rights mechanisms” .
