Hongcheon-gun announced that it will receive additional applications for the ‘2024 Small Business Prevention Facility Support Project’, which will support the installation and replacement of aging prevention facilities for small and medium-sized businesses that emit air pollutants by January 27, 2025.
The small business prevention facility support project is a project that supports the replacement cost of aging prevention facilities for small and medium-sized businesses. 90% of the facility replacement cost is supported to reduce the burden on small and medium-sized businesses and reduce fine dust such as dust, sulfur oxides, and nitrogen oxides. In addition, Hongcheon-gun is promoting a project to support prevention facilities at small businesses starting in March 2024, and plans to secure additional budget to support 170 million won in installation costs for aging prevention facilities.
Support will be given priority to 4 to 5 types of air emitting businesses among small and medium-sized businesses in Hongcheon, and businesses wishing to participate in the project must download and fill out the application form posted on the Hongcheon-gun Internet website and submit it by January 27th.
According to Hongcheon-gun, as the installation of Internet of Things (IoT) measuring devices that can check real-time operation information of air emission facilities and prevention facilities at 4 to 5 types of business places is mandatory by June 30, 2025, 90% of air emissions facilities in the district are installed. It has been completed, and for businesses that have not attached it, we plan to promote the project and provide priority support in January of next year.
Meanwhile, Hongcheon-gun actively promoted various customized youth support policies for young people this year with the goal of helping young people settle down in the region and creating a livable youth city.

In addition, we are promoting a regionally customized ‘Hongcheon-gun Youth Startup Support Project’ to create a youth entrepreneurship ecosystem, solve youth employment problems, and promote youth participation in economic activities.
By supporting facility improvement costs and rent within 18 million won per person, we promoted youth entrepreneurship and expanded youth employment.
In addition, the ‘Hongcheon-gun Youth Startup Support Center’ is operated as a hub space for young entrepreneurs to provide various programs such as professional start-up education, consulting, and counseling to strengthen the capabilities of young entrepreneurs and support systematic start-ups.
In particular, our county, an area with a declining population, focused its administrative power on promoting the “Youth Village Creation Support Project,” a public offering project of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, to support young people in finding new life opportunities in the region and to increase vitality in the region.
As a result, this year, Hongcheon-gun received a presidential commendation in the field of balanced regional development and regional revitalization (youth village), and Uptown, a youth village implementing organization, received a commendation from the Minister of the Interior and Safety.
Significant effects are being seen as communication between the county, youth groups, and villages is strengthened, and incoming young people attempt to move in and settle down through organic cooperation.
