Honorary hague at Pelle’s last farewell

Family, friends, colleagues, members of the Texel Cycling Association and others formed a guard of honor for Pelle van Onzen at beach pavilion Paal 15 on Thursday evening.

The silent tribute was a last goodbye to the 19-year-old Texel who died suddenly on Sunday from the consequences of diabetes.

Many had come to say goodbye to Pelle, who works in the family business at Paal 15 and has been an active and deserving cyclist for many years.

Advance by the cyclists, escorted by a police motorcycle, the hearse was accompanied by Pelle to the funeral home in Den Burg.
