Paravur: A woman was killed when her house caught fire. Missing someone. The fire broke out at Shivanandan’s house at Arakkaparambil (Prasadam) in Panorama Nagar around 3 pm on Tuesday. One of Shivanandan’s two daughters died. It is not clear who died. The police concluded that there was suspicion in the incident.
According to police, Shivanandan, his wife Jiji and daughters Vismaya (25) and Jithu (22) are staying at the house. The second daughter, Jeethu, has been undergoing treatment for mental illness for some time. The incident took place when Shivanandan and Jiji were out. Gigi went to Aluva with Shivanandan at 11 am to see the doctor. At 12 o’clock the elders called Vismaya and asked her when she would come. Called back at two o’clock and said there was nothing wrong with the house.
Neighbors who saw smoke rising from the house around 3 a.m. reported the incident to police, firefighters and city officials.
