Launch scheduled for July 1 to map the Universe, up to 10 billion light years away! Will the European Space Agency’s most ambitious cosmological mission unravel the mysteries of dark energy, dark matter and the expansion of the Universe?

Launch scheduled for July 1st of the European Space Agency’s Euclid space telescope which will (and this is a first) map the entire Universe up to 10 billion light years away… Unheard of and for good reason: the telescope Euclid will photograph in the visible and infrared tens of billions of galaxies at all distances and at all times to shed light on the enigmatic dark matter and the no less mysterious sober energy, in order to answer mind-blowing questions such as : What is the stuff of the Universe made of? Why is its expansion accelerating and how far? And perhaps reach the holy grail of physics and astrophysics: linking the infinitely large and the infinitely small, gravity and quantum relativity…
