The technology company Huawei announced that the new WATCH D2 was awarded the “Technological Innovation for Health” award during the latest edition of “Trusted Brands 2024” of the magazine Selections Reader’s Digest México. This recognition highlighted his work in developing devices that transcend pure innovation.
“Obtaining this award reflects our tireless effort and commitment to creating devices that positively impact the daily lives of our users. The WATCH D2 is the materialization of our promise to boost both the well-being and user experience of our consumers,” said Alix Durnhofer, PR Manager of Huawei Devices Mexico.
In recent months, the company has managed to distribute more than 150 million wearables globally, while its Huawei Health app, available for Huawei, iOS and Android devices, has achieved a base of more than 520 million users around the world.
According to the most recent reports from IDC, corresponding to the first quarter of 2024, Huawei has established itself as the world leader in shipments of wearable wrist devices. The brand has maintained its dominance in the Chinese market for five consecutive years, highlighting Mexico as one of its most relevant markets on an international scale.
This award is distinguished for being the only evaluation in the country that comprehensively encompasses the main economic sectors and relevant personalities of Mexico, consolidating itself as a benchmark in measuring consumer confidence.
