Satellite images showed how Hurricane Milton reshaped Florida‘s coastline, splitting popular beach areas in half..
The newly transformed boardwalk pictures show Sanbeel and Captiva Islands off the coast of Cape Coral, after the destruction wrought by Mother Nature The coast appears to be brown and white clouds, but in fact these areas are sand, dirt and sediment ..
Meteorologist Cody Proud, of the Fox Forecast Center, told the newspaper “The Post”: “As storms like Milton move offshore, they pump sand and water further inland than we’re used to. But because the storms have risen so much, and as they begin to subside, everything begins to recede and recede again.“.
Braud added, “The movement of sand along the coast is normal in case of storms, noting that the brown colors seen in the images are normal due to the huge amount of dirt that moves during storms.”
The expert continued: “Just looking at the coast, it looks like they got a bit of sand in that area, which makes sense because they had back-to-back storms, Helena and Milton, that were pushing that sand further inland. You probably won’t see much erosion, but you do get a kind of consolidation along the beaches because a lot of sand has been taken up from the bottom“.
The images also show some cracks on the famous beaches of Florida, which can be attributed to water rushing back into the Gulf after storms..
