jpnn.comJAKARTA – Joyland Festival Jakarta 2024 will soon be held at GBK Baseball Stadium Senayan, Jakarta on 22-24 November 2024.
A month before the festival, Plainsong Live as the promoter has announced the third and final phase of the guest star list.
After the confirmation of St. Vincent, Air, Bombay Bicycle Club and other previously announced names, a fusion of South Korean and Taiwanese indie rock between Hyukoh & Sunset Rollercoaster will enliven the 2024 Joyland Festival.
The collaboration will feature songs such as Young Man, Glue, and Antenna from AAA, a collaboration album which was released in July 2024.
Apart from that, Hyukoh & Sunset Rollercoaster are also ready to present classic songs from their respective repertoires such as Tomboy and Comes and Goes by Hyukoh and Vanilla and My Jinji by Sunset Rollercoaster.
“We are very grateful that the two biggest indie rock bands in Asia can currently appear at the Joyland Festival. Their decision to make this collaborative album is an exploratory choice for them and exciting for their fans,” said Ferry Dermawan, Joyland Festival Program Director, Tuesday (15 /10).
Also coming from abroad to enliven the Joyland Festival Jakarta 2024 is Khun Narin’s Electric Phin Band from Phetchabun, Thailand, which combines psychedelic rock with Thai folk music.
Next there is the electronic music trio Idiotape from South Korea; Cami Laye Okun, a Cuban-born tropical music DJ based in France; Danniella Dee, a roots reggae DJ from Coventry, England who is also part of the dub sound system trio Sisters in Dub; and Habibi Funk, a Middle Eastern music DJ from Berlin, Germany and founder of the record label with the same name.
