The Hyundai Kona, in its second generation, is the new winner of the ABC award for Best Car of the Year in Spain. The model has obtained 18.62% of the votes, a result that combines the votes made by the professional jury and ABC readers.
In second position was the Audi Q8 e-Tron, with 10.16% of the votes, while the bronze medal went to the Renault Espace, with 9.77% of the votes. They are followed by the BMW X1, Peugeot 408, Lexus RX, Abarth 500e, Toyota Corolla, Citroën C4X, Jeep Avenger, Nissan X-Trail and SsangYong Torres.

The final result was revealed by the notary Miguel Mestanza, after counting the votes received in this 52nd edition of the award, in which the final results have given very equal figures among all participating vehicles. Representatives of the participating brands attended the reading of the minutes.
The winning car resulted from the combination of votes, firstly, the specialist jury, with 70% of the weight of the vote. Each member of the jury sent their vote by email and the notary recorded the results of the votes.
Each member of the jury has evaluated each of the twelve finalist cars in the following parameters: design, engine, behavior, interior, consumption and quality/price ratio, awarding thirteen points to the best in each of the parameters, and the following cars They will receive 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1.
Secondly, Premium subscribers have had 25% of the voting weight. In this section, the Hyuundai Kona was the model that received the most votes, with 26.68%, followed by the Audi Q8 e-tron (14.65%), and the BMW X1 in third position (10.97%).
Finally, the general public, with the remaining 5% of the voting weight, has also voted for their favorite model through the site “mejorcoche.abc.es”. Once again the Hyundai Kona was the winner (37.64%), followed by the Renault Espace (28.63%), and Abarth 500 e (8.68%).
