I believe in the unlimited possibilities of our country

Bulgaria has a people that longs to heal, to clean up the corrupt political status quo, to turn again to solving its real problems – security, prosperity and justice, says the leader of “Bulgarian Rise” in his address

My life has always been connected with Bulgaria, my duty to the homeland, honor, morality and responsibility to my family and fellow citizens. I believe that what we do speaks louder than the many words we are capable of uttering. I say this as an ordinary citizen, officer and diplomat who has always been guided by the interests of his country and people.

First of all, I am Bulgarian. I lived in times when I saw how our country works in two radically different concepts of development. But for the longest time I lived and continue to live in a country in transition, a country deeply wounded by a lack of strong leadership.

The normal state of our lives is that working Bulgarians can provide for their families based on their work and their capabilities. To be able to build their own home and family without falling into debt, being lost and uncertain about tomorrow.

We must return the Bulgarian spirit and faith in our strength as a people, in our capacity and the unlimited possibilities of our country. We must have an environment for the development of Bulgarian culture, art, literature and music. We need to have conditions for the development of science and stimulation of the abilities of our children. They deserve to be the most educated, have the highest productivity and get the opportunity to realize their potential.

I do not want to accept that Bulgaria today is the best that we are capable of achieving as its worthy citizens. I believe that it is time to restore the legal order and put Bulgarian lovers and statesmen at the head of our country. If we do not, we will continue to become a nation of chronic disease, of violence against the human spirit, of disunity, depression and despair, of poverty and injustice. Our glorious historic towns and villages to become empty territories.

We may have become the sickest and fastest disappearing peacetime nation on Earth, but at the same time we still have brilliant specialists in conventional and traditional medicine, and the voices of our children and grandchildren still sing in the playgrounds. We may have extremely high levels of social and economic problems, but we have Bulgarians who, even under these conditions, create businesses and give their social contribution to society.

We can be happy, healthy and strong again. All we have to do is put forth better leadership that truly represents our interests.

Let’s put our power in the hands of real statesmen who don’t give in to pettiness, low passions and greed. Today, our people seem more divided than ever, but the reality is that we – Bulgarians, everywhere in the world, want to cure the diseases in our society.

Me, as well as over 70% of Bulgarian citizens we don’t want to be forced to choose between the lesser evil and we are tired of voting against something or someone and getting more of the same.

Our only way out is to reject division, unite and rebuild our country. I believe that Bulgaria has a people that longs to be healed. A people ready to confront delusion to restore reality and clean up the corrupt political status quo to turn back to solving their real problems – security, prosperity and justice.

When we unite behind these national goals we will become unstoppable.

Thank you to each and every one of you and may God protect Bulgaria!
