In a tear-jerking description, Malka tells the mother of a child with cancer about the terrible encounter with the hair that fell out and the mental suffering that surpasses the physical suffering.

“The third series of treatments took all his hair off, we knew it was going to happen, we consulted with professionals, we tried to prepare him and the family and we did not know that we too would fall apart,” says Malka.

Malka’s letter is one of dozens of letters that reach the Rabbinical Committee. Israel, secretary of the charity fund, says in pain: “Dozens of families of patients supported by the Rabbinical Committee have reached a state of breadfruit in recent times and it is difficult for us to keep up with referrals.”
