Pushing away all accusations, insults, the star couple of Indian Bengali cinema Priyanka Sarkar and Rahul Banerjee started a family together again last year.
Even though they married for love, this couple did not throw mud less. Where does the equation of their relationship currently stand? Priyanka Sarkar faced this question in an interview given to an Indian media.
In response, Priyanka Sarkar said, ‘We have decided to unite. But we need some more time. Because a lot has happened in both of our lives. Maybe we weren’t successful as a couple then. But we are still friends and respect each other. Both of us knowing the mistakes of both of us, we want this initiative to be successful, I don’t know if it will happen or not.’
Is this ‘effort’ of yours thinking about your son Sahaj? In reply, Priyanka Sarkar said, ‘Not only is it easy, standing at this stage of life, knowing our own faults and qualities, we felt that we can try one more time. When we were apart, I got comments from a lot of fans that we should get together. Even after making the new decision, I received a lot of well-wishes. I don’t know what will happen in the future.’
Do you believe in second chances in life? In response, Priyanka Sarkar said, ‘I once made a lot of mistakes. With the blessings of God, I got another chance. I left home at the age of 17 and had no contact with my parents for many years. Today I am staying with my parents. Not everyone gets this opportunity. It’s not right to hold on to ego and not give someone else a chance to make amends when I have the opportunity.’
Now do you think the decision to get back into the relationship was the right one? In response, Priyanka Sarkar said, ‘It is difficult to answer this question so quickly. But yes, there may have been some benefits. For example, Rahul and I are sharing the responsibilities of the two families, so we can focus more on work.’
Rahul Banerjee and Priyanka Sarkar got married for love. Their family life was going well. But after the birth of son Sahaha, their family began to crack. The couple separated in 2017.
Then they made headlines many times by making counter-complaints. Later, Priyanka filed a case against Rahul accusing Priyanka of neglecting her son Sahaj’s responsibility, physical and mental abuse.
Priyanka made her film debut with the movie ‘Chirdin Tumi Ja Amar’. He acted in a pair with Rahul. The film was a commercial success. Apart from this, Priyanka has acted with Rahul in movies like ‘Shon Man Boli Tome’, ‘Bau Bau Khela’, ‘Run’, ‘Valobasa Zindabad’, ‘Love Circus’, ‘Game’ etc.
