A single person receives 1,800 euros of salary into his bank account every month (1,850 euros before withholding tax). For a married couple, where both members earn €1,800 net after taxes, the gap will be even greater. The bill in the absence of a budget and indexation to inflation would amount to 1,353 euros, compared to 1,281 euros if the presented budget had been adopted. That’s 72 euros difference…
for a married couple, with the same salary, and who care for a 10-year-old child, the variation could be even greater, by almost 100 euros. In case of failure to index to inflation, the taxman will claim 451 euros, compared to the 316 euros of the budget forecast which was ultimately not adopted.
