The England international confirmed having heard South African Mbonambi make racist remarks against him.
Two weeks after the end of the Rugby World Cup, Tom Curry spoke in the columns of the British daily The Daily Mail. In particular to return to the racist comments he would have suffered from the South African hooker Bongi Mbonambi, who would have called him “with white» (white cunt) during the semi-final between the XV de la Rose and the Springboks. Speaking for the first time since the events, the English third line maintained his accusations: “Bongi and I were talking and there is no misunderstanding on my part.
