Dubai: Indian opener Mayank Agarwal and New Zealand spinner Ajaz Patel have made great strides in the ICC Test rankings. The duo’s performance in the India-Kiwis series helped.

Mayank improved 30 places to 11th. Mayank was Man of the Match in the Mumbai Test. Mayank, the backbone of the team with 150 in the first innings, scored 62 in the second innings. Ajax moved up 20 places to 38th. Joe Root is in first place. Positions one through eight remain unchanged. Kiwis opener Tom Latham, who was ninth, dropped to 12th. David Warner is ninth. Quentin de Kok is 10th.
