ICMR Report: Corona Vaccine Not Responsible for Sudden Deaths Among Young People

Chennai: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has released a report stating that the Corona vaccine is not the reason for the sudden deaths of young people, particularly in the age group of 18-45 years.

Reports of increasing deaths among young people, especially those in the 18-45 age group, have surfaced since the onset of the corona pandemic. Many of these tragic deaths have been linked to heart attacks, especially among young individuals who were active in gyms.

To investigate these alarming trends, the ICMR conducted a comprehensive study involving senior doctors from various hospitals and medical colleges across the country.

The 12-page report published by the ICMR involves a study that was conducted in 47 major hospitals in 19 states. Medical tests were conducted on 729 individuals and information was collected from 2,916 people. The study intensively examined the medical reports of 29,171 sudden deaths in the age group of 18-45 years from October 2020 to March 2021.

The findings of the report indicate that the corona vaccine is not responsible for the sudden deaths among young people. In fact, the mortality rate is lower among those who have received two doses of the corona vaccine, and slightly higher in the group that received only one dose.

The report also highlights that family background accounts for 10 percent of youth deaths. Additionally, 27 percent of deaths are linked to tobacco and drug addiction, while another 27 percent are attributed to alcohol addiction. The study also found that many young individuals who were infected with the corona virus and subsequently received intensive care in hospitals passed away at a young age. Furthermore, unhealthy eating habits and excessive exercise were identified as major contributing factors to sudden deaths among the youth.

In conclusion, the ICMR report emphasizes that lifestyle choices and family health history are significant causes of sudden death among young people. It is important for individuals, particularly in the 18-45 age group, to be mindful of their habits and strive for a healthier lifestyle to reduce the risk of sudden death.
