The water level in Mullaperiyar dam reached 138 feet. Tamil Nadu is transporting 2166 cubic feet of water. There is also a possibility that more water will be released in the background of not reducing the flow of water to the dam.
The search for the missing tribal boy who got caught in the flood in Peerumet, Idukki will continue today. A 12-year-old boy named Ajith, a native of Peerumedu Grampi, went missing in the river yesterday. Ajith was crossing the river to collect kudampuli from the forest when he was swept away. Father and mother were with him. The NDRF team, Fire Force and Peerumedu Police conducted a joint search.
