The Electoral Institute of Mexico City (IECM) installed a working group in charge of preparing and organizing the eventual election of magistrates, judges and ministers in the capital.
“This collegiate body will focus in the coming months on the analysis, planning, opinion and development of projects, regarding the regulatory design and the stages that will make up an eventual extraordinary electoral process for the election of various positions in the Judicial Branch of Mexico City. “, detailed the Institute.

This group will be chaired by the electoral advisor Ernesto Ramos and will be made up of the councils that are members of the General Council, indicated the IECM.
Among the main powers of the collegiate body are to attend, give opinions, follow up and propose activities and projects for the preparation and organization of the process.
In addition, it may submit proposals for electoral reform to the local Congress and carry out a diagnosis of the internal regulations that require modifications for the proper implementation of an extraordinary electoral process.
Finally, the Institute recalled that the advisors of the Legislative Branch and representatives of the political parties before the General Council of the IECM will not be able to participate in activities and sessions related to this process.
