Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali said that the third installment of the loan is expected to be paid only after passing the ongoing tests of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
He said this to reporters after a meeting with the resident representative of the IMF in Bangladesh, Jayezandu Dey, in the Ministry of Finance at the secretariat on Thursday (February 8).
In response to the question about what was discussed with the resident representative of the IMF, the finance minister said that the targets given by the IMF, we are doing well, most of them have been implemented. Now in March they will come again and see. It goes on and on. I think we will meet the second step as well.
Has there been any talk about the deficit in reserves and revenue? In response to this question, the finance minister said, yes, he said that they have met the target that they had given. let’s see
Will they offer any new support? Has there been any discussion on this? In response to such questions, he said, if we pass the exam, they will see the situation anew. The situation is looking good now. It means passing the exam.
Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali said when the third installment can be received, the ongoing tests must be passed. Then it will be available.
