jpnn.com – JAKARTA – Indonesian Fashion Week or IFW 2024 was officially held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan, Jakarta.
The biggest fashion week in Indonesia has the theme ‘Langgam Jakarta Woven’, and targets transactions of IDR 60 billion during the event.
“The target for visitors to IFW 2024 from 27 to 31 March 2024 is 100,000 people, with total transactions of IDR 60 billion,” said General Chair of the Association of Indonesian Fashion Designers and Entrepreneurs (APPMI) Poppy Dharsono in Jakarta, Wednesday (27/3).
Poppy explained that through the IFW 2024 theme ‘Langgam Jakarta Woven’, APPMI wants to highlight the diversity of Betawi culture in the charm of contemporary art and fashion.
At this year’s show there will be more than 300 designers showing their best collections, some even coming from abroad, such as Malaysia and Thailand.
IFW 2024 was also enlivened by 400 exhibitors displaying fashion and craft works from various regions. Some are parties who are members of the National Dekranasda.
Poppy added that IFW, as the largest forum for the fashion ecosystem in Indonesia, wants to provide a platform for players in the fashion industry sector in Indonesia.
With collaboration from various parties, APPMI hopes to have a bigger and better impact on all participants involved in IFW 2024.
“The support from the Tourism and Creative Economy Department of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is helping us with the creative concept, communication and implementation of IFW 2024,” he added.
IFW 2024 was officially held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). The transaction is targeted at IDR 60 billion.
