Marítimo won, this Sunday evening, on Felgueiras, 1-3. In the ninth round of Series II, and in the opening match of Rui Duarte (former coach of Sp. Braga) in charge of the Madeiras, the foreigners took the advantage in the 9th and 12th minutes.
After Fábio China’s goal there was a moment of brilliance from André Rodrigues, the former Felgueiras striker who returned to his hometown last Sunday.
Before the break, at 45+2m, Carlos Eduardo reduced the differences on the scoreboard.
In the second half, however, between exchanges and dirt, central defender Rodrigues Borges controlled the fight, at 76m.
In this way, and after achieving their third consecutive victory in Series II, Marítimo rose to fourth place, with 15 points. The leader Tondela is four points behind.
There will be a reception in Penafiel (2nd) afterwards, next Saturday evening (2pm).
Felgueiras is in 11th place, with 11 points, equal to Paços de Ferreira (12th), Vizela and Feirense (9th). In the tenth round they will host Mafra (17th), Sunday evening (2pm).
