As a result of the control activities carried out by the structural units of the State Revenue Committee in 2022-2023, the tobacco manufacturing company “Ar. Cases of sale of 1,114,000 packs of cigarettes by Tobacco CJSC without excise stamps. As a result, about 416 million AMD was caused to the state, on the basis of which criminal proceedings were initiated. This was reported by the information and public relations department of the SRC.

In particular, in 2022 in April, an attempt was made to export 25,000 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps worth about 12 million AMD by land from the Republic of Armenia to the Russian Federation, which was prevented by SRC employees. In this case, the state suffered a loss of around 8 million AMD.

In the other case, from RA to RF by land in 2022. in August, an attempt was made to export 199,000 packs of cigarettes worth around 90 million AMD, without excise stamps, which was prevented by SRC and NSS employees. In this case, about 66 million AMD was caused to the state.

And in March 2023, 2 trucks transporting goods from Armenia to Russia were stopped and inspected by the customs authorities of the Russian Federation at the Verin Lars checkpoint. As a result, it was found that “Ar. 400,000 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps produced by “Tobako” CJSC, worth about 220 million AMD. About 154 million AMD damage was caused to the state by the mentioned cases.

In another case, in April 2023, an attempt was made to export 490,000 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps worth around 270 million AMD by air from Armenia to Russia, which was prevented by SRC employees. In this case, about 188 million AMD damage was caused to the state.
