“Lori” FC and “Sevan” FC have been deprived of the right to register new football players, reports the Football Federation of Armenia.
“In 2020 on September 24, the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber (FIFA WLP) made a decision regarding the dispute between football player Darko Enok and the “Vanadzor Football Academy” NGO. The above-mentioned decision obliges “Vanadzor Football Academy” NGO to make the relevant payments within 45 days or request the grounds of the decision from FIFA within 10 days for the purpose of further appeal. In case of failure to make the specified payment on time, the club faces the following problems:
1. For 3 full and consecutive registration periods, the right to register new players (both domestically and internationally) is forfeited. The ban is lifted only when the club makes the appropriate payment and submits the payment receipt to FIFA and FFA.
2. In the event of non-payment by the end of 3 full and consecutive registration periods, said proceedings will be referred to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on request.
In the case of not requesting the grounds of the decision from FIFA within the 10-day period, the decision made by the FIFA VLP becomes final, and the parties are deprived of their right to appeal.
Considering the fact that “Vanadzor Football Academy” NGO has not made the payments required by FIFA’s decision, as well as did not request the basis of the decision from FIFA by the set deadline, the latter is not authorized to register new international and domestic football players. in order for 3 full and consecutive enrollment periods beginning on February 1st. The above prohibition will be lifted once the club has made the relevant payments and submitted the receipts of said payments to FIFA and the FFA.

In fact, “Sevan Football Club” LLC did not request the grounds of the decision from FIFA within the specified deadline, according to the procedure mentioned in Article 15 of the FIFA Procedural Rules (Rules Governing the Procedures of Players’ Status Committee and the Dispute Resolution Chamber), as also failed to make the necessary procedural payment for obtaining the grounds. Instead, in 2020 on October 25, sent an application-complaint to FIFA, only demanding to review the decision made by the FIFA VLP.
Taking into account the above circumstances, the consequences arising from the decision of the FIFA WLP are considered to have come into effect, therefore “Sevan Football Club” LLC is not authorized to register new football players both internationally and domestically for 3 full and consecutive registration periods starting from from February 1. The aforementioned ban will be lifted once the club makes the relevant payments and submits the receipts of said payments to FIFA and the FFA,” the FFA statement said.
