This Friday, a ceremony was held at the El Sauce Cultural Center, where family, friends and followers of El Taiger came together to honor his memory.
The images of the tribute, which circulate on social networks, show the urn with his ashes, his portrait and various flower crowns, adorned with Cuban flags.
It is important to highlight that, despite the emotional nature of the event, hours before some controversies arose about its nature, since Jorge Junior, El Taiger’s cousin, had previously extended an invitation to fans to participate in the farewell.
However, the Cuban Institute of Music clarified that it would be a private ceremony, in compliance with family wishes.
While the reggaeton singer is fired in his homeland, Manuel A. Morales, chief of the Miami Police, offered information about the progress in the investigation related to the death.
Morales announced that he is getting closer to a resolution of the case, although he was reserved regarding a possible video of the moment in which the artist was shot.
He also claimed to have enough evidence, but that he was not yet in a position to share details, which has raised concerns and more questions among followers about the implications of the case.
“At this time we are not ready to discuss that level of detail of what we have in the investigation. Any type of evidence in this case would be key to having the opportunity to not only make an arrest. The easy part is making the arrest. The difficult part is having enough evidence for the case to go to court to be able to obtain a conviction at the level that our legal system demands.said the agent.
