A new year is about to begin and retired from the IMSS are waiting for their first pension payment 2025 which, according to what happened in previous years, will come with an increase based on the inflation considered for the new year.
According to him Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS)pensioners receive their payment on the first day of each month and if it is a non-working day, the deposit is made on the last non-working day of the previous month.

This payment is deposited in the bank account in the name of the pensioner that was provided at the time of completing the procedure.
On the other hand, in the case of pensioners who receive their payment through an AFORE or insurer will be subject to the terms of payment dictated by these institutions.
Will there be an increase in the IMSS pension for 2025?
The government of the Republic announced that by 2025 there will be a increase in pension who receive the people retired by the IMSS and this will obey, as we already mentioned, annual inflation, seeking to maintain the purchasing power of pensioners.
The federal authorities have not defined how much the increase will be but according to the inflation an increase of between 4 and 5 percent.
When will the Pension increase be reflected?
Generally, the announcement of increases to IMSS pensions is made during the first days of January, so it is expected that the increase will be reflected until the payment corresponding to February 2025.
What days will the IMSS Pension be deposited in 2025?
According to the general rules of the Mexican Social Security Institutethe pension of retired people is deposited, as we already mentioned, the first business day of each month or the last of the previous month if necessary.
Authorities have not yet released a official calendar for the payment of said benefit so long awaited by private sector workers who have dedicated their efforts and their best years to working life; However, taking into account the dates that are contemplated year after year, a attempt calendar which would look like this:

- February – Friday, January 31 or Tuesday, February 4 (3rd commemorates the Constitution)

The calendar that we present to you is tentative and responds to the guidelines that govern the delivery of pensions year after year; However, it will be the institute itself that officially publish the calendar under which the deposits for the beneficiaries of the pensions of the Mexican Social Security Institute will be governed.
