About 10 lorry loads of tomatoes arrived on Saturday from areas like Talawadi and Krishnagiri. A 25 kg box of tomatoes costs Rs. 900 to Rs. Up to 1000 sold. A 14 kg box costs Rs. 400 to Rs. Up to 500 sold. A kilo of tomatoes costs Rs. 30 to Rs. Up to 50 sold. In retail, Rs. 50 to Rs. Up to 60 sold. The public is happy with the fall in tomato prices.
