Multiple projects implemented by the Development Authority in Sirte

The National Development Agency is currently implementing a package of reconstruction projects in the city of Sirte, including implementing university runways and completing the maintenance of Sirte Bay International Airport, after a hiatus that lasted nearly 14 years.

The agency stated in a statement today, Saturday, that the projects also include the implementation of the façade of the University of Sirte, the maintenance of functional housing buildings, the implementation of the Marina Beach, the installation of a fence on the beach, and the restoration of a new market for traditional industries and herbalists, as well as the restoration and painting of the front and rear facades of the 1,000-unit residential buildings. In the district of Rabat and the Daman buildings in the city; For the first time since it was delivered decades ago.

The projects implemented by the agency also include maintenance of “Clock Square,” one of Sirte’s historical landmarks, as well as expanding and increasing the stadiums of the Sports City with the aim of accrediting them by the Olympic Committee for holding local and international matches and tournaments in the city.

According to the statement, there is also a project for a water sports park designated for children under the age of eleven in Rabat, and a contract has been signed with a coalition of Egyptian companies to build two bridges to alleviate traffic congestion in the city, one of which links the coastal road to the airport and the second connects the city center to the Marah Street road.
