Experts concluded that the black eagle may have escaped from a wildlife trafficking group and reached the area. The available information is that they are being found for the first time in Asia. Last year, the presence of black swan was confirmed in Nepal. Nepal is also a country where wildlife trafficking takes place on a large scale.

But this is not the first time that the presence of black swan has been recorded in India. A black eagle caught in Cyclone Ockhi in 2017
He was lying in a state of disrepair at Asaripallam in Nagercoil. After five years under the protection of Tamil Nadu forest guards, the eagle named ‘Okhi’ was later brought to Rajasthan by air and released in Jodhpur.
