Time.news – There are 18,765 new Covid cases in Italy in the last 24 hours, an increase compared to yesterday (when there were 13,846) but with 335,189 swabs, 166 thousand more than yesterday. So much so that the positivity rate drops to 5.6% (yesterday it was 8.2%).

On the other hand, deaths are on the rise, 551 (yesterday 386), never so many since January 19 (when they were 603). The total victims since the beginning of the epidemic are 105,879.
While admissions still rise, but less than yesterday: intensive care units are 36 more (yesterday +62) with 317 admissions of the day, and they are 3,546, while ordinary hospitalizations increase by 379 units (yesterday +565), 28,428 in all.
The Region with the most daily cases is Lombardy (+3,643), followed by Piedmont (+2.080), Veneto (+1.966), Campania (+1.664), Emilia Romagna (+1.578) and Lazio (+1.491).
Total infections rise to 3,419,616. The healed are 20,601 (yesterday 32,720), a total of 2,753,083.
For the second day, the number of currently positive people drops, 2,413 fewer (yesterday -8,605), 560,654 in all. Of these, 528,680 are in home isolation.
