In Minsk, on August 14, a verdict was announced for participation in the protests by a Minsk resident Andrei Kopyshev, as well as a married couple Sergei and Oksana Yasyucheny. This was reported by the human rights center “Spring”.

The criminal cases were considered in the court of the Zavodskoy district of Minsk. All three were found guilty under the “people’s” article 342 (Participation in actions that grossly violate public order) and each was assigned two and a half years of restriction of freedom without being sent to an open-type correctional institution (“home chemistry”).

“It is known that they were tried for participating in the 2020 marches. They were identified by photographs on the phone and detained on June 8, ”Vesna reports.

The defendants were released from custody in the courtroom.
