After five victories in the first five matches of the NBB, the Basquete Tricolor lost its streak after being defeated by Mogi, 78 to 74, on Monday evening (1), at the Ginásio Professor Hugo Ramos, in Mogi das Cruzes (SP ).
For San Paolo the highlights of the match were Faverani (14 points, 7 rebounds and 1 assist), Bennett (13 points and 3 assists) and Tyrone (12 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist).
The duel also marked winger André Góes’ 500th match in the NBB, in 17 seasons among the national elite.
Tricolor begins to impose its pace from the first minutes and closes the first quarter 19 to 14. In the second period the team was able to maintain the good momentum and took the game to halftime with a seven point lead, 38 to 31 .
The third quarter was marked by the reaction of the opponent, who won 24 to 19, closing the scoreboard, leaving just two points ahead of Guerrinha’s men, 57 to 55. In the last period, the opponent dominated the action and closed the fourth. 23 to 17. Final score: 78 to 74.
The team’s next match will be next Tuesday (5th), at 8pm, against Pinheiros, at the MorumBIS Gymnasium.
