/ The Lebanese Al-Hikma basketball team arrived in the capital, Baghdad, via the airport and then to the hotel, before conducting training in the People’s Sports Hall.
Al-Hikma, representing Al-Watan, will meet Al-Naft Club in its second match in the West Asian Club Super Championship (WASL) tomorrow, Thursday, at the People’s Hall in the capital, Baghdad, at 6:45 p.m.
It is noteworthy that the West Asian Basketball Federation distributed the teams into two groups, the first included the Al-Ittihad clubs Al-Ahly Aleppo, the Iraqi Oil Club, the Lebanese Al-Hekma, and the Iranian Gorgan, while the second included the Syrian Al-Wahda, the Lebanese Al-Riyadi, the Jordanian Al-Ahly, and the Palestinian Orthodox clubs.
The Al-Ittihad team, Al-Ahly Aleppo, defeated Al-Naft Al-Iraqi with a score of 79-72 points, in the match that brought them together on the grounds of Al-Hamdaniya Hall in Aleppo in the first round of the first leg of the West Asian (Wasl) International Basketball Championship for men.
