Today, Tuesday, the “Israeli Broadcasting Corporation” published a video that it claimed was “from the Maroun al-Ras area in southern Lebanon, and shows the raising of the Israeli flag there.”
Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen claimed, “Israeli soldiers occupied the Maroun al-Ras area and destroyed homes from which Hezbollah fired missiles toward Israel.”
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation announced that “the village is under the control of the Israeli army.”
In turn, the “Israel Hayom” website wrote: “24 years after the exit from Lebanon, Israeli army soldiers raise the Israeli flag in “Maroun al-Ras,” the village from which many missiles were fired at the northern settlements.”
In this context, the Israeli army revealed, today, Tuesday, “that nearly 50 soldiers were injured on the fighting fronts in the north and south within 24 hours.”
The Israeli army said, “48 soldiers were injured on various battle fronts during the past 24 hours,” and added that “7 of these wounded soldiers sustained serious injuries.”
He explained that “30 were injured on the northern border with Lebanon, while 18 soldiers were injured in battles in the Gaza Strip.” He said, “A soldier with the rank of sergeant was killed and another was wounded in battles in northern Gaza, and that a second soldier was injured in battles in southern Lebanon.”
This brings the number of deaths in the Israeli army since October 7, 2023 to 730 dead, including soldiers and officers.
