The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine allowed the public performance of Tsoi’s songs
In Ukraine, it is not forbidden to publicly perform the songs of Viktor Tsoi. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the State Agency for Art under the Ministry of Culture of the country.
“The songs and works of Viktor Tsoi are not subject to a ban on public performance,” the ministry said.
In early June, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Natalya Pipa, wrote a statement to the police against a young man who sang a song by Viktor Tsoi in the center of Lviv.
The parliamentarian became a witness to the execution. She started a skirmish with the musician and demanded that he stop singing in Russian.
Ultimately, Pipa called the police and filed a complaint against the young man, accusing him of violating the March 2023 language law.
