American corporation Microsoft testing a new feature for Windows 11, thanks to which users will be able to copy text from a picture. A preview build of the operating system with the new feature is already available to members of the Windows Insider program.
The function of copying text from an image will be available through the Scissors application – now it can recognize text in images and copy it. To use the new feature, when working with a picture, you need to click on the “Actions with text” button, after which you can copy it, select all the text in the picture, and also edit it. With the new Quick Mask feature, the user can remove sensitive data from screenshots, such as account information or email address. There is also an option to “Hide Text”, which crosses out the information with a black bar and makes the text unreadable.
Another new feature introduced in the Windows 11 preview build is the ability to edit a photo taken on an Android smartphone directly on your PC. Once your device is synchronized with your computer, Windows will display a notification prompting you to edit your photo.
