The National Electoral Institute (INE) inaugurated the stand at the 38th edition of the International Book Fair (FIL) Guadalajara 2024in which the Institute’s editorial collection will be offered to all citizens.
Within the framework of the inauguration of the stand, Councilor Claudia Zavala Pérez assured that the intention of this space is that together “we build a citizenship, we soak ourselves through the journeys that reading gives us, from the pens of our writers and writers.”

In this sense, he invited all citizens to approach the INE through this stand at the FIL Guadalajara. In democracy, he emphasized, everyone fits and “here, at the international book Fair, we meet.”
For his part, Councilor Jorge Montaño Ventura recognized the “institutional, unconditional army of the national Electoral Institute that is always with us in all electoral processes, in children’s consultations, Revocation of Mandate, Popular Consultation, that never abandons us and that, Thanks to you, we are here today.”
For this reason, he called on the public that attends the FIL to visit the INE space, especially in the framework of democratic effervescence that the country is experiencing, which also goes hand in hand with culture.
“The duty that we have towards Mexican citizens and also towards those abroad is that: democratic culture and civic education,” he stressed.

In her intervention, the Executive Director of Electoral Training and Civic Education, maría Elena Cornejo Esparza, explained that the INE publishing label has managed to position the electoral authority as an essential reference for consultation on democracy, citizen participation, electoral politics, civic education and human rights, both in the academic field and among the public.
This seal, he added, is made up of seven collections and a series whose texts have been developed by widely recognized authors, “meeting rigorous quality criteria, to offer different audiences products that trigger reflection and political deliberation.”
